Heated Dog Beds
If you have an older dog that suffers from arthritis and maybe your dog has injured themselves while playing, orthopedic heated dog beds can help relieve their aching joints. Heated dog beds are made from a variety of materials with a number of features and designs. (Of course, the most popular design is your queen sized bed that has an electric blanket turned on.) Before you purchase an orthopedic heated bed for your furry friend, do a little research into all the options that are available and then choose one that will provide the utmost comfort for your dog.
The heated dog bed should provide an amount of heat that keeps your dog warm enough while soothing their aching muscles and joints. Most heated dog beds work with your dog’s body heat to maintain a comfortable level of heat. Your dogs will need the extra warmth, especially during the cold winter months, to help keep them comfortable.
The orthopedic foam material of the bed should be thick and firm but also provides enough cushion to conform to your dog’s body. The material used for the cover of the dog bed should be durable and easy to clean. Cover material can be fleece, flannel, denim, faux suede or microfiber.
Heated dog beds come in a range of sizes and styles including round, oval, rectangular and square. Most manufacturers will provide a recommended weight limit for each bed style to help you determine how large the bed needs to be for your dog to fit comfortably.
Your dog deserves to be pampered and an orthopedic heated dog bed is a special treat for older, arthritic dogs and/or dog’s that have suffered an injury. It’s up to us to provide our pets with a soft, comfortable place to lay their heads and take their naps.
